Connectivity Solutions
The gateway's versatile communication options accommodate various ranch locations and infrastructure availability:
The LoRaWAN variant excels in rural settings with existing LoRaWAN infrastructure. Operating across multiple frequency bands (US915, AU915, EU868, and others), it achieves impressive sensitivity levels of -139 dBm at SF12. With RF power up to 22 dBm (expandable to 30 dBm), each gateway can effectively handle over 500 tags, making it suitable for large herd operations. For ranches in areas with cellular coverage, the NB-IoT/LTE-M version offers global band support with data rates reaching 127 kbps downlink and 158.5 kbps uplink for NB-IoT Cat NB2. This option leverages existing cellular infrastructure while maintaining low power consumption.
The Cat-1 variant provides enhanced data throughput for operations requiring more frequent updates or additional sensor data. Supporting regional bands across North America, Europe, Africa, China, India, and Latin America, it delivers reliable connectivity while maintaining the system's core monitoring capabilities.
